STATE’S ATTORNEY CANDIDATE JUDGE PAT O’BRIEN REACTS TO EXPLOSIVE AND WIDE-RANGING FEDERAL CORRUPTION INVESTIGATIONS AND CHARGES
Chicago, IL - “As the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois announces federal charges today resulting from an explosively wide-ranging corruption investigation, once again, Cook County’s top prosecutor Kim Foxx is nowhere to be found.
We are also reading additional headlines today that federal investigators are actively examining potential political corruption by the former Cook County Assessor, a recent Chairman of Cook County’s Democratic Party and close ally of both Foxx and her political mentor, Toni Preckwinkle (current Chair of the Cook County Democratic Party).
There is clearly no shortage of public corruption taking place at seemingly every level of government in Cook County, yet Kim Foxx has done absolutely nothing to address this endemic crime.
The dirty little secret that Kim Foxx does not want voters to know is that several of her political donors and supporters are the actual targets of these investigations. No wonder Kim Foxx turns a blind eye to political corruption, she’s part of the problem,” said O’Brien.
